Tim Green and I are both authors.  We’re both published by HarperCollins.  Tim has done a few other things that I haven’t done.  He’s been a professional football player for the Atlanta Falcons (I ran cross country in high school and am pretty good at ping-pong).  He’s written more than 30 books (I’ve only written 12 so far ... lame).  He’s also fallen out of a tree and gotten right back up (I’ve fallen out of trees before, but never gotten right back up).  He can lift me up and has done it (I can’t lift him up and haven’t done it.)

Tim and I have toured across the country together a few times, visiting schools and encouraging thousands of kids to read (and laugh).  He is a good friend, a fine writer and an outstanding dude.

Tim recently announced that he was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) a few years ago.  And he’s doing something about it.  He’s raising awareness and raising money to fund research to find a cure.
