Stick Dog has been nominated for the prestigious Bluestem Award in Illinois.  During the next year, young readers throughout Illinois will read books from the master list chosen by the Illinois School Library Media Association.  The list consists of twenty outstanding books.  Previous winners have included The 13-Story Treehouse, The One and Only Ivan, Wonder, Out of My Mind, Adventures in Cartooning and Hachiko Waits.
